Aside from performing well in sports, Viernes is also a consistent honor student, and has always been a member of the honors section. She states that good time management has helped her balance her student-athlete life, saying, “you have to be committed to the sport, including time management...every weekend I devote my time, my whole Saturday and Sunday to archery...my time revolves around study and archery.”
Diliman Preparatory School has always recognized the importance of sports in developing well-rounded students. With the Whole Brain Learning System - an innovative educational learning philosophy that aims for holistic development, DPS has produced student-athletes who excel both in their academics and their extra-curricular activities.
